Trothe 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is Now Available

This is a big day for us. It’s a pleasure to share with you the inaugural release from Trothe—2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced exclusively from our family’s vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA of Washington State.

Horse Heaven Hills saw a gorgeous summer in 2018, with classically warm, sunny days and crisp nights. We’ve captured that moment in time with a fresh, balanced wine, aged 22 months in new French oak, followed by 13 months in bottle.

We recommend a healthy decanting for this young wine, but once it’s in your glass you will immediately note a beautiful bouquet that becomes ever more vibrant as the wine opens up. Herbal and spice aromas complement tannins that are fine-grained, dusty, and classically Horse Heaven Hills. Crunchy black fruit, cocoa, and tobacco add layers to a long, almost never-ending finish.

Allocations of this wine, available exclusively to Members only, may be accessed through your account page at trothe.com.
